About Gauntlet arcade machines
Updated · By Retro Field Guide research team
Three home machines in our listings include Gauntlet, each as one game in a bigger collection. Arcade1Up carries it on the Mortal Kombat II Deluxe at $499.99 and the Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 Supreme Series at $699.99 (October 1, 2026). Dream Arcades names it on its 4-player Dreamcade 2.0 Cocktail at $2,299 on sale (September 30, 2026), the only one of the three that states 4 players.
Both Arcade1Up cabinets carry the same Midway-era collection around Mortal Kombat: Gauntlet, Rampage, Paperboy, Defender, Joust, Toobin', Wizard of Wor, Root Beer Tapper, Klax and Bubbles, plus four Mortal Kombat games. The Supreme has a bigger screen and "professional-grade" controls per its page. The Dream Arcades table names Gauntlet, Warlords and Rampage among "over 300 licensed games" and has a 2.25-inch trackball. Its regular price is $2,999, and shipping is $449 extra.
What to check before you buy
Players. If you want four people at once, only the Dream Arcades table states 4 players. The MK II Deluxe states 2. See 4-player arcade machines.
Size. The MK II Deluxe needs about 20 by 24 inches of floor and 61 inches of height. The cocktail table is a sit-down table; Dream Arcades does not state its dimensions on the page we read. See cocktail tables.
Licensing label. All three show "Official titles named, licensor not stated": the pages name Gauntlet but not who licensed it. See licensing labels.
Availability. As of October 1, 2026, the MK II Deluxe was available on Arcade1Up's store and the UMK3 Supreme was coming late 2026. Dream Arcades said "ships every Friday" on September 30, 2026.
We cover new machines only and do not price original cabinets.
The original game
Atari Games released Gauntlet in arcades in October 1985, first as a dedicated four-player cabinet, with a two-player version following in June 1986 (Wikipedia, checked October 1, 2026). Its cabinet-mates have their own pages: Mortal Kombat and Rampage.
